Black Pearl Friesians is located in Northern Illinois and is situated on 190+ acres that includes woodland as well as large rolling fields and natural spring fed ponds. I have lived on the farm for over 20 years and have owned many horses of various breeds over the years. I have also run a boarding operation on the property for over 10 years. With the help of my husband, Chris, we strive to provide top notch, detail oriented care. I have limited the number of horses I will take so that he and I can give hands on twice daily care to all of the horses. Our facility is also high quality, clean and spacious. It includes 12 x 12 box stalls with rubber mats and automatic waterers, rubber matted isle way, ceiling fans, wash stall, heated tack room and full bathroom, 180 x 86 indoor dust free arena and 100 x 200 out door arena. We also have plenty of pasture and turn out space with a minimum of 12 x 24 shelters in each. These are just a few of the amenities that you will find at our facility. I started riding when I was 8 years old and have never stopped. My passion for horses led me to compete in eventing with a Thoroughbred gelding, who I still have today. When I retired my thoroughbred from jumping it was the end of my eventing career and the start of a serious ambition to go as far as possible in dressage. I successfully competed thru 4th level dressage on the same Thoroughbred, then due to his age I was forced to retire him completely and I now have a 4 year old Friesian gelding that is my main focus in riding and I have high hopes for excelling in the Dressage ring with him. I have loved Friesians for as long as I can remember and Chris and I purchased our first Mare with a filly at her side and a baby on the way. We started a breeding program from that and are now adding to our Friesian herd yearly as we can not get enough of this magnificent breed. I have fallen even more in love with the Friesians since we bought our first one; their personalities are so easy going and trusting. They bond with people so fast and they are fun to work with because of their intelligence and willingness to please people. We strive to breed top quality Friesians with superior confirmation and excellent personalities. All of our Friesians are registered with FHANA and all of our mares are only bred to the finest FPS approved Friesian stallions.
